May 11 Tour of the Garden

I worked all day in the garden. It's really coming along! Here's a little tour!

Entering the circular side garden from the drive way side

Fiddling Frog

Grackle on feeder

Toad House (LOL)

I LOVE this moon

Lilac Tree

One of my favorite gargoyles

Catmint! I love this stuff! It blooms all summer, can be ignored once established and blocks out weeds! Plus, the hummingbirds LOVE it!

This fishing kitty is one of the many critters around the pond and the garden

Clematis growing behind the little pond

Our little pond, AKA "The Birdie Beach" as we made one end just like a beach for them-- and they LOVE it!

Close up of creeping phlox around the pond

Salvia -- this is several years old and very well established

Alium

Columbine

Annuals in front bed

The paver project. I've been weeding around them and putting in creeping Thyme and Creeping phlox. I can hardly wait until it fills in! Marcucio's on Route 34 in Derby carries the Creeping Thyme if you are looking for it

The cute tile I got at a dollar store

Lily of the Valley

  1. Thanks for the garden tour and congrats on a job well done for creating a wonderful garden. Would love to see more pics of what is blooming in your garden in the future.

  2. I just love your birdie beach! I wouldn't mind making one myself but there's so many cats from my neighborhood around here already (since I have 3 birdbaths and a big bird feeding station). But I'll still consider it.
